Treetops Adventure offers a squirrel’s eye view of a thriving coastal rainforest in the mid-story of 1300-year-old old growth Douglas-firs. Treetops Adventure uses an innovative compression system using no bolts or nails in the trees to secure its viewing platforms and 7 suspension bridges.

STORY
CENTRE

You’re one of the Capilano Tramps, those early adventurers who made the long “tramp” to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Today visitors to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park can pose with the Tramps before they begin their walk through the Story Centre. Life-size photomurals, artifacts and antiques together with “voices from the past” and informative signage chronicle the early history of the Bridge and the development of Vancouver.

KIA’PALANO

Part of Capilano’s captivating story involves the tradition of placing totem (story) poles on the grounds at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Get a glimpse into the lives of BC’s First Nations people at Kia’palano, where the historical connection between First Nations culture and the natural world is highlighted. Kia’palano is an educational adventure and enlightening thing to do in Vancouver.

RAPTORS RIDGE

Daily from May 1 to September 6, 11:30AM to 6PM.

Raptors Ridge is an educational facility dedicated to public education of raptors and conservation of wildlife. The raptors you see visiting today go back to Raptors Ridge’s facility each evening and different raptors return the next day. When not visiting the park, the raptors enjoy an open environment of free flight daily, feeling the wind beneath their wings. Raptors Ridge is a dedicated team of handlers and are licensed by the government to provide educational programs.  Raptors are not pets.    

History
and Nature Talks

Join us for one of our complimentary talks offered hourly within the park.  The history talk provides guests with an interactive synopsis to our colourful past including the endeavours of past owners, the involvement of local First Nations in our past, and of course information on the world famous Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Our nature talk provides guests with an introduction to the ecology of the West Coast rainforest. Guests learn about the flora and fauna found in our ecosystem, as well the climatic characteristics that make the West Coast a unique environment.
